Well, not exactly gravy, but what gravy encompasses, a goo-old-fashioned, home-cooked meal. Or in this case, a modern home cooked meal. In fact, any home cooked meal is good in my books.
It’s been such a long time since I’ve actually sat with anyone in a home environment and just had a proper, sitting down meal. When I’m home, we all eat at different times and then sometimes, even when we manage to eat all at once, you’ll have strays sitting at the coffee tables watching the TV.
I guess it’s the culture you grow up in and remain living in. When I was younger, we’d all be sat down at the table and made to eat. I.e. we had to finish what was on our plates. Lolz Fatties!
But nowadays I find this is much less the case. Instead I eat out a lot of times at restaurants and pubs as I’ve got my own income coming in and they’re good nosh simply put.
But this was different. It was egg-fried rice with tomato and spring onions, with chicken wings, potato and COCA-COLA, and finally a side of veggies; tomato and the legend that is broccoli.
‘Twas good. I’m not sure whether having FRIENDS playing in the background was a good thing or bad though. I mean, I love FRIENDS, and TV, and eating while watching the TV, but I guess this is what I was trying to say doesn’t or does matter. If you know what I mean?
