The human race is a strange one. It’s murderous, rude, prude and annoying. But this all makes for a confusing time.
If there are aliens (paying attention), what must they be thinking?: “Oh these, puny humans, they hurt each other physically but also through this weakness known as emotion, how ridiculous”.
What is this worthy addition to the human species that other species don’t really need to function? What would be wrong with just basic instinct to function in life? How does emotion contribute on the larger scale? I mean, it helps to pass the time, it creates amazing films and music, and allows things like friendship to blossom, but animals get by without any of this, or if they do encompass some of these human values, they sure don’t cry about it.
I sometimes stop myself from trying to think on a larger scale. Looking at things from such a huge perspective that I can’t even look at the most simplest of ideas properly. I mean, how does questioning the nature of humans benefit anyone in anyway? I don’t think it does really. It’s pretty mental. But then what else would I do with my time?
