Listening to Good Times Gone – Nickelback, Hypnotic – Craig David, Attack – 30 Seconds to Mars.
Music although lyrically not fitting to any state of mind, have the melodies that are more calming than what I’m usually listening to.
So, I’ve just seen Seven Pounds starring Will Smith. Now I’m a huge Will Smith fan, so lets look at this movie a bit more critically than I usually would. It’s got a bit of the love story / love bond between peopl, it got giving and taking, the visible difference between what a good person looks like / does and what a bad person does and it is very moving.
I guess everything has been done in Hollywood, and even though the concept of the movie is new, it evokes emotions that other movies have done before so nothign special…
But it is special. An awesome movie from start to end, with twists and turns throughout. Friendships which appear broken are working and people appear to be what they aren’t. It’s very convusing, and I thought I had the story worked out half way through. A man is trying to help people through his job, but he’ll only be helping seven as the title suggests. Well, it is kind of like that, except there is a whole lot more to it than that.
There are some laugh out loud moments with a motel owner, and some cute moments between two of the chracaters which you’ll probably see coming from the start, but they both add to the overall story.
And boy, what a progression of a story. Throughout the movie you’re made to feel’ down’ at the circumstance portrayed and then are hit with little bits of joy. This yoyo of emotion really makes it hard for you to tell whether or not you’re going to get a happy ending or not. And the ending is questionable.
I’m not sure about whther you’d find it happy or sad, but a lot of people in the cinema were crying at the end (welling up here). I guess it’s how you perceive what the end is.
On another note. Will Smith runs in the rain in this movie, and that got ME wanting to walk my way home (which is not ideal being a couple of miles away and a bus journey of 20 minutes).
It’s just brilliant, not one to watch if you’re lookign for something uplifting, but definitley one to catch. And Will Smith does serious roles awesomely.
the movie looks good and im waiting for the release also and i wanna know wat does 7 pouds mean ??
Erm, well at the end of the movie I was asking people in the movie theatre what Seven Pounds meant because I still didn’t know, but he does help 7 people so I’m guessing it has something to do with that.
If you find out please let me know lol.
u can look up the movie site & u will find the explanation..
i saw the movie and i was touched by the story we u ???
Fayea, I will look it up, that’s a good point.
Jessica, I thought it was a brilliant ending. I thought I had it figured out at one point only for them to add that little extra bit with his brother in. Brilliant.
There were people in the theatre crying and I myself thought it was really moving.
