Camden? More like Compton. Mary, Juan and Ana were there (wink wink), but I wasn’t there for that. Happy birthday Ameena!
It was only 7.30PM when I got there and already it was a bit… dodgy out. Mark, Ameena and I got some nice, HALAL (a must for any good Muslim) Chinese food. I got my favourite, and regular wherever I go, chicken in black bean sauce with chow mein; a mouthful, pun included for free, as were some fried chicken pieces (yummy).
Walk around a bit… trying to find a place to cotch so we could munch in peace. Found one after walking around in a circle (lol). Some conversation about pricks (Russel Brand and McFly in two different ways, don’t ask) later, we moved on to the club.
Then we moved to inside the station to wait for people coming, but for an hour we waited, without a familiar face. Made some new friends at the station, and a call from two about lateness but that was it. When one had shown though, we moved onto the club.
An ID check later, then some conning of making us pay to get in, even though you could clearly see there wasn’t a hundred people there yet, and we got some drinks and sat down.
We were supposed to be there for 9.30, the live music started at 11.30, but in-between it was filled with some messin’ about to songs we knew, and meeting and greeting the late two and their t-bag (say what?).
Captain Black was pretty good actually, but it was only a few songs we could listen to before we had to take off if we planned on getting home the same day…
So good night methinks. Happy birthday again.
Keep on rockin’ (you can do that to indie too, right…).
